In question 1 we asked which colour scheme would be suitable for a college magazine. There were a range of answers given but the majority of the answers answered with ‘Black & White’.

Would you be interested in music features?

This is a pretty simple question and had a very positive response. 100% of the questionnaires came back with the answer ‘Yes’. This would mean that we would definitely include music results to attract the largest amount of people.

If so, what genres of music would you be interested in?

The most chosen results for the question were Rock, R&B and Pop. These were the most popular and therefore would probably be included in our magazine. Metal and Indie were also popular so they may still be included but in a smaller sized article.

How often should the college magazine come out?

4 people answered this question with ‘Weekly’. 6 people answered this question with ‘Monthly’. Therefore we feel that monthly editions would be most appropriate for this magazine.

The most popular features were Gaming, Gossip, Fashion, Sport and Agony Aunt. Activities around College and Exam Tips were less popular and therefore would probably not be included in our magazine.

90% of those interviewed answered ‘Yes’. Only 1 person responded with ‘No’ which shows that free features would encourage the majority of people to buy the magazine.

What adverts would you think are suitable for the college magazine?

Music was by far the most popular result from this question. Electronics, fashion and gaming were also very popular and therefore we would include these in our magazine.

Would you appreciate a Puzzle Page in a magazine?

Yes    No

Only 4/10 people responded to this question with ‘Yes’. This means we would include a puzzle page, but possibly not I every edition of our magazine.

With these features in mind, would you go out and pick up a free copy of the college magazine?

Yes     No

7/10 people overall would go and buy this college magazine.  This shows that our results were mainly positive and the majority of people surveyed would buy our college magazine.
